Decent

Nice build-up from the get go, though it sound generic and except for the first sample, like I've heard it multiple times, it still sounds well done, and it gets better as it goes.

I like the saws (sawpad[s]?) that are like grinding tension early in the songx] and those hi drum hits, almost bongo sounding? idk, but they're a nice touch I wouldn't normally think to include, I don't even think I have a sample like thatXD

The chords around 2:48, and the piano very pretty:3
a little long for me, I'm waiting for the kick to come back in, but I don't like a lot of trance because I'm impatient a lot of times.

A pretty solid track to dance too, not really intense, not too mellow either.

ahaha that intro=D

Such a simple synth in the foreground, it was orgasmic to hear those saws building up behind it and finally climaxing and weaving into the foreground. The effect/sample you used to transfer into the piano part works really well, that windy sound, and it builds back into electronic and WTF DUB=D I love this part of it, and it works well within the song. The melody about 3 minutes in is really awesome.

I like it a lot.

It's just a rearrangement

You just cut parts out of his song really, and the loop's even a little off :/

I understand under the creative commons license you're allowed to do this, but you didn't put much work into it, you didn't even add anything.

Sorry but I don't think this deserves a high score. Get a DAW, learn music, and remix it from scratch, or maybe even create original songs. Checking your profile, I noticed how young you were, so sorry if I sounded harsh at all:(
I couldn't audio edit at your age, but learning how to produce or play an instrument would be a better use of your time then making rearrangements.

I'm understand. Thank you for comment.

Delightfully Chaotic

So much variation, from 0:50 to 3ish minutes I could hear a very pretty chord progression, it was epic idk if it was there, or in my head, but that distorted arp that comes in at 1:30 follows it, it's so beautiful, but the distorted effects on the synth really keep the "madness" mood of the song. The melodies in the first segment are absolutely uplifting, it really gets my blood pumping dude. The fast paced drum transitions really added to the pace of the song, really liked the one at 4:41.

The transition after that into the next segment of the song is amazing, like entering a boss fight, I haven't seen the new madness, but this really sparks my imagination. And when you bring back that "bell" melody from the beginning of the song at 6:15ish, it makes the transition back to the first part really smooth. From there on it really felt like it was driving towards an ending, which is good. Loved the pluck melody that came in around 8:00, there's so much variation, samples, etc. everything going on at once, but the entire completely coherent, and smooth.

This is amazingly mixed well for having so much going on at once.
Anyone who complains it's "random" is likely tone deaf. But I guess this type of music isn't everyone's cup of tea.

cheshyre responds:

Wow!! Thank you so much! This was a really hard song to make. Trying to keep the momentum and madness and melodies and beats all going at once was pretty difficult for me. There are some people who say that I didn't succeed in juggling all of those sounds but to hear your comment makes me feel pretty good about the finished product. I personally love this song and it's good to know that other people listen to the subtle, almost invisible, parts of the song that bring everything together. Thank you so much!!!

Pretty

You should expand on this later, there's a lot of good directions you could take it, but I won't count off on my score for it being short, what's there is good. It builds smoothly, and has a lot cute little melodies, I especially like the flute sounding one.
Great layering with the notes and instruments.

Kieda responds:

It was kinda just something I wanted to make quite fast, not really too big project.

I don't think I will expand it, but you can never know.

Thanks for the review (:

Doesn't stand very well on it's own.

It'd work really well as background music though, in a flash or a game, which really that's why the AP exists. But as a song on it's own, it's kinda boring.

Zoombip responds:

I see what you're saying, maybe if i were to go back to it and add some more high end and spice it up a little it might stand better on its own. I might do, depends if i get some inspiration from somewhere x)

Anyway, thanks for the helpful review :)

Nice melodies.

Reminds me of something I'd write, I use a lot of z3ta's 8-bit sounding presets (altered slightly) when making stuff like this.

Use of more synths and automation clips/effects would really help the repeditive-ness.

andrew70060 responds:

usaly i use a lot of synths but this time i was triing to see if i could use only three and i could.thx for the review=D

Awesome

This is the first (decent or better) remix I've ever heard of my music.
I'm pretty crap with pianos, I just have fl keys, and I can't get it to sound that good.
And thanks for remixing it and saying my music's magical:3

Looking forward to the orchastral version, I'm gonna link people to this.

Spooky

Written while listening:
Nice ambiance, this piece has a strong vibe, the build up was quick and short just how I like itx] (short in which i mean I didn't have to wait for the climax for 5 minutes like in..say some trance songs.) It even surprised me a little, shook me (not literally, but it rattled me.) And everything after that is just as good.

I don't have any real advice or critique, what's here is good.

Step responds:

Thanks man! Like I said in the author's comments I'm quite proud of the atmosphere despite this being an old song.

Thanks again!

Nice melodies=3

I liked the tone of this, leaning towards 8-bit, or at least sounds that make me nostalgic for old school games. The only complaint I have is the crash was used way to much, and doesn't sound great, it'd be much better if I didn't here it after every bar. But that's just my opinion.

-stratkat

OpenLight responds:

Thanks for the review! I agree about the crash a bit. I'm a heavy crash user though. I should get some psychiatric help.

"So Openlight, why do you feel the need to use the crash?"

"I CAN STOP WHENEVER I WANT!"

I'm stratkat, I make noise.
