Pretty

You should expand on this later, there's a lot of good directions you could take it, but I won't count off on my score for it being short, what's there is good. It builds smoothly, and has a lot cute little melodies, I especially like the flute sounding one.
Great layering with the notes and instruments.

Kieda responds:

It was kinda just something I wanted to make quite fast, not really too big project.

I don't think I will expand it, but you can never know.

Thanks for the review (:

Doesn't stand very well on it's own.

It'd work really well as background music though, in a flash or a game, which really that's why the AP exists. But as a song on it's own, it's kinda boring.

Zoombip responds:

I see what you're saying, maybe if i were to go back to it and add some more high end and spice it up a little it might stand better on its own. I might do, depends if i get some inspiration from somewhere x)

Anyway, thanks for the helpful review :)

Nice melodies.

Reminds me of something I'd write, I use a lot of z3ta's 8-bit sounding presets (altered slightly) when making stuff like this.

Use of more synths and automation clips/effects would really help the repeditive-ness.

andrew70060 responds:

usaly i use a lot of synths but this time i was triing to see if i could use only three and i could.thx for the review=D

Spooky

Written while listening:
Nice ambiance, this piece has a strong vibe, the build up was quick and short just how I like itx] (short in which i mean I didn't have to wait for the climax for 5 minutes like in..say some trance songs.) It even surprised me a little, shook me (not literally, but it rattled me.) And everything after that is just as good.

I don't have any real advice or critique, what's here is good.

Step responds:

Thanks man! Like I said in the author's comments I'm quite proud of the atmosphere despite this being an old song.

Thanks again!

Nice melodies=3

I liked the tone of this, leaning towards 8-bit, or at least sounds that make me nostalgic for old school games. The only complaint I have is the crash was used way to much, and doesn't sound great, it'd be much better if I didn't here it after every bar. But that's just my opinion.

OpenLight responds:

Thanks for the review! I agree about the crash a bit. I'm a heavy crash user though. I should get some psychiatric help.

"So Openlight, why do you feel the need to use the crash?"

"I CAN STOP WHENEVER I WANT!"

One of the best DnB tracks imo

and not just on NG, anywhere. I love this track, I've listened to it countless times.

I don't have any real critique, it's above me, but I've 5'd it, like idk, a lot, because I keep coming back for more.

Fredgy responds:

please go to ' www.soundcloud.com/fredgy ' for more tunes ! that's where i'm dropping all my tunes at ;)

this tune is in the main playlist of the central radio station in ma town haha :)

thanks buddy

The imagery in this, I see snow and my breath.

That intro gives me chills, the tone of the piano's real cold, and still awesome and even pretty>> The mellow melodies are just too cool, I'm shivering from this track, and outside it's pretty warm in the midwest:] Some of the lower frequencies help add to that shaking.

Great track.

And love you too nateXD

dj-Nate responds:

:')

Intense.

I love what you did working off the original melody, it's a shame it's so short, but length could always hurt something if you don't know where you're going, and could make it repeditive hurting the epicness imo, I never count off for length if what there's good. You've done more then what I'd be able to come up with doing this style.

I've come back and 5'd/listened to it all week. The way it transitions from the intense part, with amazing drums, and the original melodies is amazing, and smooth.

It inspired me to attempt a dubstep remix of lillium, which i've never done dubstep. Just played with lfo and though, hey, bet I could make a wub song of it. It's uploaded to NG if you want to hear it, but no obligation, it's not much if compared to yours.

SessileNomad responds:

dubstep remix of this could have a lot of promise

why the low score:/

I think it'd be perfect for the beginning of a madness flash, really set the mood before the Hardkick dnb or w/e is usually used during madness combats comes in.
Great background music for when story/prologue is taking place.

PianoFortress responds:

yeah, that's what I've aimed for ;>.

Professional, really it's amazing.

It makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, you definately captured that epic feeling great trance is supposed to give you, it's mixed well too, as far as I can tell.

I think it's amazing beginning to end.

Great job on this one.

Chimy727 responds:

Thanks d00d! :D
If you want your neck hairs to stand up again xD check out my latest piece.
